Blog’s 1st birthday!

Posted Sunday, March 7th, 2010

Happy birthday dear blog, happy birthday dear blog.. happy b-day dear bloooooog, happy bday.. blabla :P party

The blog is “1 year” today :) The reason for the ” ” is that my blog actually is a lot older than that. I have had this URL since November 2005 with a blog on it and before that I had kolastram.dk which I got in 2003 and used it more like a homepage with all kinds of weird stuff on it :P Click on pictures for a closer view ;)

This design I had for a good while on my old blog :) Still think this was a great header :D

And then my blog was hacked, well I dont think it was my blog in particular that had done anything but more like a security breach in wordpress that was used. And then it all of the sudden looked like this on the frontpage and then I actually stopped blogging for a good while.

It wasn’t until last year I figured out I had a hobby that I could actually blog about :P So on March 7th I put up my first post. And that wasn’t nail related at all, that was a picture of a queue thingy at a pharmacy which made a heart with < and 3 :D That’s how geeky I am :P

Since the first post I have had a big increase in the visitors count because of the wonderful and kind network that there is between bloggers :) and especially to mention the nail bloggers :) I owe everyone that link to me huge hug <3

Some random stats:

More than 500 posts

33.000 unique visitors the last year

Over 1500 comments

Most used keyword search was for “Chanel 505″

106 countries has visited the site, 42%  was from Denmark, 24% from USA and rest is spread out over the world :)

The busiest day so far has been with 520 hits

So enough with the facts.. be sure to check back later today for the post on my birthday giveaway :D And thanks again all for reading. Biiiig hug and lots of <3 to you ;)

China Glaze – Adore

Posted Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

Wohoo the sun was out today, so I can finally take some pictures :D This polish was part of the China Glaze Romantique Spring 2009 collection and must say even though this is the only one of them I got, this is definitely my favorite! I love the color it has. Only thing there is to say on the negative side is the brush strokes can be somewhat visible but I don’t think it matters that much :) Its gorgeous and I love it :D Btw, do you like it when I have the full sized(as in filling out the entire column) pictures or do you prefer them at bit smaller like these in this post? Let me know in the comments :) Thanks for reading! <3

Orly @ Nailmail.se

Posted Monday, March 1st, 2010

Hi there! If you live in Scandinavia and you are just as crazy about nail polish as me, you can join a club, where polishes will be sent straight to your door every month! The polishes chosen are mostly brands that is not that easy to come about in Scandinavia and the prices are always reasonable and the customer service is great! So with out much further ado I present this months nailpolish from Nailmail.se which are from Orly. You can choose from the following collections:

I don’t know if you remember but I have tried some of these already. See these links for Sweet collection and Bloom collection. So I think I am getting some of those I need from the collections and going for Blushing Bud from Bloom and Cotton Candy from Sweet and then Iron Butterfly from the Metal Chic collection. You can also order some of Orly’s treatments, like Wont Chip, Bonder or any of the other they have. I can really recommend Sec’n Dry, I made a post here about it :) And remember if you mention my customer no. which is 147 you can get 10% discount on your first month in this fabulous exclusive club for us Scandinavians ;) Be sure to join head over to Nailmail.se and check for further details and prices  :)

NfuOh – 51

Posted Monday, March 1st, 2010

This is one of the infamous NfuOh’s, it seems to be quite a lemming in the nail community. And I understand why :P I bought them a while ago but haven’t really had time to try them on other than a quick swatch on each finger. So here is a quick post with the first of them. This is the original color, I haven’t used a base color. So this is how it actually looks :) I have seen a lot of pictures with a black as a base and that looks great to, I mean flakies can make anything look good! :D

For those of you not familiar with this polish I took some pictures of the bottle :) As you can see its shaped like a dress, I think its absolutely gorgoues and the best idea for a polish ever :) Nfuoh’s slogan is: “When NfuOh began All of the worlds nailart trend was changed” And who is to argue with them? :P NfuOh’s own blog can be found here and I bought mine at Fabuloustreet.com

I sinned! I shopped! But only for some necessities! I was out of mascara and at the pharmacy I saw this cuticle creme so had to get it, cause of the extra dry skin right now. And for the polishes… its not even for me! Its for you! Someone out there can win this. I plan on doing a giveaway when I reach 200 followers here on the blog :) So if any of you are reading here, but haven’t signed up through the Google Friend connect thingy in the side, now is a great time for doing just so :)

I made the picture black and white on purpose so the colors of the polishes would be a surprise for when I announce the giveaway :P And of course since I can see most of you like creme polishes I got just the opposite ;D Nah I think you will like these :D

Thank you for reading :)

Nubar – Raspberry Truffle

Posted Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

Don’t think I have even gone so long without posting a polish in here, but I have been working last week and still don’t have any sun out for taking some good pictures. Okay I’ll stop complaining about the sun now :P

This polish is from the Chocolate Truffles collection from Nubar that was released fall/winter 09. I love the color of this and I cant really remember how many coats this needed but I am pretty sure 1-1½ was enough. I dont wanna say much more since the picture pretty much speak for it self. Looovely color :D
