Nå men kæresten var jo nede og hente mine pakker og den ene var Beautybay.com som indeholdte lidt gaver til min kæreste, svigermor og lidt til mig selv 😉 Den anden var fra en blog giveaway som jeg vandt hos Pam fra Nail-E-Glance 😀 Nogen rigtig fine ting. Glæder mig især til at prøve det her teeth whitening strips fra Listerine. Siden jeg holdte op med at ryge for 2 år siden har jeg tænkt på at få bleget det sidste gule væk nemlig, så det er jo en god mulighed for at prøve her 😀 Fra beautybay.com var lakkene jeg fik fra Essie var Lollipop, Mint Candy Apple og Rock Candy fra deres vinter 09 kollektion, samt en 3-way lak og så ikke mindst Baby Cakes det er en som jeg har ville ha fingrene i for lang tid siden men kunne ikke finde den nogen steder.. Så røg jeg på beautybay og så var den der! 😀 så den glæder jeg mig meget til at prøve 🙂 Nå ja og så var min kæreste nede og få pengene tilbage for halskæden han gav mig, jeg kunne rigtig godt li den, men den hang fast i mit hår hele tiden 🙁 så nu har jeg et tilgodebevis derned til.. Så må vi se hvad jeg kan finde på i stedet 😀

So the boyfriend was down at the post office today and got my 2 packages that were waiting. One was from Beautybay.com with some presents for him and mom-in-law and something for me 😀 The other one was the prize from the giveaway that Pam at Nail-E-Glance had.. Huuge package 😀 And some very lovely stuff in there. Really looking forward to try the teeth whitening stuff since I considered doing something like this at a point after I quit smoking 2 years ago, so lets hope it will get them really nice 😀 Also had a Revlon polish that seems to be a really nude color, so cant wait to try that either 😀 And then there’s some stuff from elf and some lotions, really nice prize 😀 Thanks so much for the package Pam!
From beautybay.com i got the winter collection with Lollipop, Mint Candy Apple and Rock Candy. Only minis but still nice 😀 and a 3 way glaze. The lonesome cowboy polish at the right is Baby Cakes which is a polish I really had lemming for like a year… around that at least 😛 Havent been able to find it anywhere so when it showed up on beautybay.com it must have been a sign 😀 Really looking forward to trying it! Oh and then my boyfriend was down and returned my necklace I got for our 3 years anniversary because it kept getting some of my hair stuck in it, so now i have some store credit so have to figure out on whats its gonna be used on 😀

Just made a NOTD before midnight 😛 I’m sorry for the idle here on the blog. But I’m at work.. so haven’t had the time 🙂 I have this shift and tomorrow and then I have about 2 weeks off.. Soooo looking forward to it ;D Hope you all had/have a nice day. Oh and about the nailpolish.. hehe… I love this one.. So nice and bright.. oh and neon ofc 😛 And with essie as always easy application and good coverage. Though it had to have some layers. But I think thats pretty normal with a neon.. Oh and its matte to 🙂

Then & Now… a different NOTD

I saw a similar post on another nail blog some time ago, I’m sorry I cant remember which. And that made me look at some old photos from when I started blogging until today. And I must say i have improved my polishing skills.. quite a bit 😉 I can now make a fresh mani that is not all over my cuticles in about 5-10 minutes.. As to before it took me(If it were to be just a bit nice) about half to a full hour(maybe sometimes even more :o).

So lets see one of the first on the blog

This is if I have to say myself.. awful when i look at it now.. To much of my hand on the picture and polish all over the place.
Although I have never been that bad at putting it on I have never been anywhere near what I see on Scrangie, Vampy Varnish and all the other “pro nailers” out there. Have to be honest I couldn’t even figure out how they could make the manis so nice. Buuut somehow as I’m getting better at putting on polish it stays inside the lines.. so to speak 😉 I also used that trick of putting nailoil around the edges but it didn’t really work for me. So I just got a steadier hand which is nice now 😉

This I did yesterday in about 7-8 mins. (not counting the drying time ofc.)

So to conclude.. i guess practice makes perfect or at least better…. 😛
I would love to see some of starter pictures of the nailblogs out there.. Would be fun ;D

I made a little circle with my Barry M’s 😀 And i guess its not so hard to guess which color is my favorite 😉

And this is where i store them

The small polkadot bag can hold exactly 12 Barry M’s so i usually take that with me if im going somewhere for a longer period.
I know its not the worlds largest collection, but its so hard to find the good brands in Denmark, have to order them home from US and it can be so damn expensive. So i get my more expensive brands through Nailmail.se(this is such a great concept btw, subscription to nailpolish, sent in the mail to you.. whats not to love? :D).

I was a nail biter until very recently. 😮 ye I know shocking aint it? 😛 but somehow when I got more in to polish I just stopped.. have no idea how, guess having some pretty nails was more appealing to me then flossy short nails.

I cut my nail when I think they get to long. I don’t like too long nails… not on me at least.. maybe because I have so chubby fingers.. haha ;D

And I think thats enough with the facts 😛

Essie… det er virkelig et af de bedre mærker. Vi snakker rigtig god børste.. god dækning.. SKØNNE farver. Og hvis jeg ku… så tror jeg nu nok jeg havde købt mange flere hjem af disse. Selvom min Neon collection er minis så er børsten stadig rigtig god og dækker næsten rent med 1 lag. Og det er jo et stort plus 🙂
